while i have no patience for lies, i have less for people who will not lean out of a car window to moo at cows. it may be that the cows want to hear from us, as do goats, sheep and horses. make animals your friends and you make me your friend.
imagination is not the same as prevarication, right?
once, when my mother was trying to get me to stop picking things up off the ground, she cautioned that 'you don't know where it's been'. without meaning to, she instilled in me a love of the used and a boredom for the brand new, the just bought, the right off the rack. in a word: retail. give me something with history even if it's one i can make up. especially one i can make up. it's a richer life with pre-owned since it incorporates mystery with the useful.
